Meta One Instagram plans: what you actually pay

Meta One is a paid layer on Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI. The newsroom post prints September 15, 2026 and September 16, 2026. Story scheduling and links in organic posts are listed on Advanced. Pricing may vary by account, so check each account in the subscription flow.

    Key Takeaways

    • Meta’s newsroom says plans are available globally and start at just $2.99 a month for single products, $7.99 a month for individual bundles, and $14.99 a month for creator and business bundles. The same page prints September 15, 2026 and September 16, 2026. Its published time is September 15; its modified time is September 16.
    • The Instagram creator post is dated Sep 15, 2026 and prices Advanced at $49.99/mo. The newsroom says Advanced is “starting at $49.99/mo.” Those are not the same wording.
    • Links in posts and Story scheduling are listed on Advanced. Help caps Advanced at 4 posts and 4 Reels with links a month, and unused links don’t carry over. Story scheduling Help names Advanced, Expert, and Max, up to 30 days.
    • A feature subscription is not isolation. Each growth account still needs its own dedicated real phone and its own IP. Meta One does not do that job.

    What is Meta One?

Meta One is a subscription on apps you already use. The newsroom post calls it “a new subscription service on our apps that offers higher AI usage and enhanced expression features, plus professional tools for creators and businesses.” It says plans are rolling out gradually, with more than 50 features launched and 15 million subscriptions and trials to-date. That 15 million figure includes trials. It is not a paid-subscriber count.

The same page’s visible header prints September 15, 2026 and September 16, 2026. The HTML published time is 2026-09-15. The modified time is 2026-09-16. The Instagram creator post is dated Sep 15, 2026 and says “Starting today, we’re gradually rolling out Meta One creator plans globally.” TechCrunch byline is September 15, 2026. The Hollywood Reporter is September 15, 2026, 8:20am.

Free is still the default. The creator post says “Instagram is free, and it always will be.” The newsroom says “the core experience across our apps and Meta AI will stay free.” Hollywood Reporter quotes Helen Ma, VP of subscriptions: “We are very committed to keeping the experience for creators free,” and “our intention is not and will never be to degrade anything or to force people to pay.” The same article says paying won’t remove ads. That ads line is the reporter’s, not a Ma quote.

    Earlier this year

    Single-app Plus plans

The newsroom says Meta launched Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, and WhatsApp Plus earlier this year. Instagram Plus on that page is $3.99/mo. The Instagram Plus announcement lists Story Extend as a story that lasts 48 hours. The Meta One newsroom says Core includes Instagram Plus features, and that benefits may vary by account.

    Meta One goes global

Newsroom visible text prints September 15, 2026 and September 16, 2026. Published time on that page is September 15; modified time is September 16. The creator post is dated Sep 15, 2026. TechCrunch and The Hollywood Reporter both date the launch September 15, 2026.

What do the prices actually say?

Read the qualifier, not just the dollar. The newsroom says plans “start at just $2.99 a month for single products, $7.99 a month for individual bundles, and $14.99 a month for creator and business bundles.” Lower on the same page, creator tiers are “starting at.” The Instagram creator post prints fixed dollar amounts with no “starting at.” TechCrunch matches the newsroom’s qualifier: Essential “$14.99/month and up,” Advanced “starting at $49.99/month.”

    PlanNewsroom wordingInstagram creator post
    Essentialstarting at $14.99/mo$14.99/mo
    Advancedstarting at $49.99/mo$49.99/mo
    Expertstarting at $149/mo$149/mo
    Maxstarting at $499/mo$499/mo

The three Plus prices on the newsroom add up to $10.97 a month ($3.99 + $3.99 + $2.99). Core on the same page is $7.99/mo and includes those single-app features plus more AI use. That comparison is arithmetic on the newsroom’s listed prices. It is not a discount Meta printed.

AI limits are not a published number

TechCrunch says Meta declined to share the exact usage limits for Core and Premium, because they could vary by “country, surface and system conditions.” Don’t buy Premium at $19.99/mo expecting a fixed generation quota. The newsroom only says Premium is “everything in Core, with the most room to create content with Meta AI.”

In early testing, the newsroom says more than half of subscribers engaged with both AI and expression features in the bundled plans, and that Restyle and voice effects on Instagram were among the top reasons people subscribed. That sentence is about early testing, not the September 15 launch cohort.

Which plan lists links and Story scheduling?

Essential is the presence tier. The creator post prices it at $14.99/mo and lists a link page of up to 20 links, a verified badge once you’re verified, and impersonation protection. The newsroom’s Essential line is “starting at $14.99/mo” and describes presence tools, a verified badge pending verification, and more access to Meta Business Agent. Links inside posts, and Story scheduling, are listed under Advanced on both pages.

Advanced is where the publishing tools show up. The newsroom says Advanced includes “scheduling stories up to 30 days in advance, links in organic posts and reels, exportable analytics, and deeper audience insights,” plus team access “without sharing your password.” The creator post says add links to 4 posts and 4 Reels per month, schedule stories up to a month in advance, and schedule posts and Reels up to a year in advance, up from 30 days. “30 days” (newsroom and Help) and “up to a month” (creator post) are both on official pages. The one-year post and Reel window is the creator post’s phrase.

    Link allowanceCreator postMeta Help
Advanced4 posts and 4 Reels per monthUp to 4 posts and 4 Reels with links per month
Expert“Highest levels of feature access” for links, paired with MaxUp to 8 posts and 8 Reels with links per month
Max“Highest levels of feature access” for links, paired with ExpertUp to 12 posts and 12 Reels with links per month

Help adds the rules the price pages skip. Eligible public Instagram accounts with a Meta One subscription can add links. Teens can’t use the feature. Posts and Reels have separate monthly allowances. The limit resets on the date the subscription renews, and unused links don’t carry over. A promo account that spends its 4 linked Reels in week one has used that month’s Reel allowance on Help’s wording. Advanced’s 4 and 4 appears on both the creator post and Help. Expert’s 8 and Max’s 12 are the Help figures.

Story scheduling has its own page. Help says only eligible Instagram accounts with a Meta One subscription can schedule stories, the feature is not available to teens, and it is available with Advanced, Expert, and Max, up to 30 days in advance. Suggested times use followers’ activity over the last 28 days. The creator post also lists, under Advanced, competitive insights against other public accounts, insights history beyond 90 days with a CSV download, shared access with 4 people, one human support case per month, and “appear ahead in search results with optimized search.” Those counts are on the creator post.

What changes if you run more than one account?

The newsroom’s last pricing sentence is the one operators skip: “Plans, benefits, pricing, and availability may vary by region, by app, and by account.” It then tells you to start the subscription process to see the features on that account. If an account were billed at the newsroom’s Advanced starting price, that figure is $49.99 a month. Ten accounts at that starting price is 10 × $49.99 = $499.90 a month. That product is arithmetic on the published starting price. It is not an invoice, because the same page says the price may vary by account.

Shared access is not a substitute for separate logins. The creator post says Advanced can “share access with 4 people” so they can create, post, and schedule without sharing your password. The newsroom says team members can access the account without sharing the password. Four seats on the creator post is still one account. How many Instagram logins fit on one phone is a different article: how many Instagram accounts you can have.

Links in posts are an in-app feature on the creator post and on Help. How a post is published is a different article: API posting vs native posting. A calendar still is not an identity. We lay that decision out in managing multiple social media accounts.

A subscription is not an isolated environment

Meta One buys features on an account you already run. It does not put that account on its own device or its own IP. If you are past a handful of profiles, the bottleneck is isolation: dedicated real phones, isolated environments (own device and own IP per account), years of experience running accounts at scale, and proprietary sequences. That list is the whole description of how SocialScale Hub runs accounts. Meta One does not replace it.

If the job is many accounts, not a longer Story on one login, start with the infrastructure rather than four paid link slots. See how account setup works.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is Instagram still free if you skip Meta One?

The Instagram creator post dated Sep 15, 2026 says “Instagram is free, and it always will be.” Meta’s newsroom says the core experience across its apps and Meta AI will stay free. The Hollywood Reporter quotes Helen Ma, VP of subscriptions, that the intention is not to degrade the free experience or force people to pay. The same Hollywood Reporter article says paying for a subscription won’t remove ads.

Which plan adds links inside Instagram posts and Reels?

Meta’s newsroom lists “links in organic posts and reels” on Advanced, which it prices as starting at $49.99 a month. The Instagram creator post lists “Add links to 4 posts and 4 reels per month” under Advanced at $49.99/mo. Meta Help says eligible public accounts can add links, teens can’t use the feature, Advanced is up to 4 posts and 4 Reels a month, Expert up to 8 and 8, Max up to 12 and 12, and unused links don’t carry over.

Which Meta One plans can schedule Instagram Stories?

Meta Help says only eligible Instagram accounts with a Meta One subscription can schedule stories, the feature is not available to teens, and it is available with the Meta One Advanced, Expert, and Max plans, up to 30 days in advance. The newsroom also says Advanced includes scheduling stories up to 30 days in advance. The Instagram creator post says schedule stories up to a month in advance, and schedule posts and Reels up to a year in advance, up from 30 days.

Does one Meta One checkout cover every account you run?

Meta’s newsroom says plans, benefits, pricing, and availability may vary by region, by app, and by account, and that you see the features for your account by starting the subscription process. The Instagram creator post lists shared access with 4 people on the Advanced section, without sharing your password.

Features on one login are not a network

Meta One can add links and Story scheduling on an account that qualifies. It will not isolate the next account. We run each account on a dedicated real phone, in an isolated environment, with its own IP — plus the sequences that come from years of operating at scale.
